Craft Bazaar 2024

We had a successful weekend raising funds for The Rotary Community Breast Milk Bank, The Aunties, and Good Night Sleep Tight charities. Thank you to Papanui High School for the free use of the Hall and to Deryn Tregurtha and Kathy Anderson for leading this project and to all those who volunteered to help over several months and on the weekend.

The tables were overflowing with a large variety of donated goods including a large amount of beautiful bridal laces and accessories. The card and bead making areas were well stocked by a generous donor and the quilting and wool sections proved very popular. Fabrics were a high priority and the selection was overwhelming as box after box was unloaded onto tables.

Saturday proved to be the busiest day with people waiting outside for the doors to open and a steady stream from 9am until 5pm kept us on our toes up and down the rows helping people locate what they were looking for.

We heard stories, we found out about people’s hobbies and talents, we were told about projects none of us had imagined, found crafting tools we didn’t know what to do with and enjoyed laughing and working together knowing we had made a difference to someone’s life by raising funds to help three worthy charities.
